Rajgad (The lord of all forts in Marathi) is a standout amongst the most essential strongholds in Maharashtra.The fortress was the capital of Maratha domain for over 25 years. This was one of the initial few fortifications caught by Shivaji Maharaj.
The fortress is arranged around 42 km to south west of Pune. To visit the post, one can go to Nasarapur which is around 35 km from Pune along Mumbai – Bangalore national roadway. Rajgad is only 22 km from Nasrapur. From Nasrapur you can reach to towns at the base of Rajgad : Gunjawane or Wajeghar, from where the trek begins.
Today the fortification is fascination for trekkers as a result of it’s colossal size, its sky shaking tallness, the troublesome course and the authentic significance of the fortress. The trek to this fortress should likewise be possible from the stronghold Torna. The post Torna is found close in the west to Rajgad. The Torna to Rajgad trek is likewise fascination for trekkers.

The best road to pickup is Katraj Tunnel road with minimum traffic.
The best time to visit Rajgad fort is Winter, we visited at begging time of the Summer season.

we started by 10 in the morning and reached at Balekilla by 12 PM! and luckily we choose the difficult route to climb the fort.
There is no food at top or anywhere while climbing so bring food with you and lots of water so your body didn’t get dehydrate.
